We started our quest for bone broth while cooking for mother’s and their families after they give birth. We quickly realized that in almost every nation, families were using bone broth to nurture the nurturer. We searched high and low through the health food stores yet couldn’t find a product that met our standards for taste and quality. We decided to take matters into our own hands and make our very own majestic brew. News traveled fast and before we knew it we had our clients, friends, and family begging for more. And so…Wishbone Broth was born.

This white layer of fatty magic is packed with bioavailable collagen. With 28 different types, collagen makes up about 30 percent of the protein in your body. Collagen helps lubricate your joints, rebuild connective tissue, better your complexion, rebuild your intestinal tract, and feeds your brain. Bone marrow is a blood builder, and it contains myeloid and lymphoid stem cells. These stem cells are the foundations for red and white blood cell production. All other bone broth companies skim this part off, however we think it’s one of the most important parts.
All the bones and vegetables are roasted before simmering for a deliciously rich and complex flavor. We simmer the broth for 48 hours in filtered water, sea salt, peppercorns, and a splash of apple cider vinegar. The vinegar helps pull the nutrients from the bones during the cooking process and gives the broth a nice tang. So not only are you getting all the benefits of the ingredients, you are also getting hydrated!

When we take the broth off the heat we add fresh ginger and miso. We use gluten-free organic miso that gives a deep salty flavor, as well as an array of health benefits. Miso has B vitamins, antioxidants that protect against free radicals, it discharges heavy metals from the body, and has probiotics from the fermentation process that aid in digestion and overall gut health. Ginger is highly anti-inflammatory and anti-nausea - making it important for morning sickness. Ginger helps with digestion, overall body pain, improves brain function and tastes amazing!
Organic, Grass-fed Beef Bones - We source organic, grass-fed beef bones from Eel River farms, whose cows graze up and down the california coast. Organic, Free-range Chicken bones - We source organic chicken bones from Mary’s Chickens, who have been raising high quality chickens in California for over 50 years. Organic vegetables - Carrots, onions, leeks, scallions, garlic and ginger are sourced at the Santa Barbara farmers market from Tutti Frutti Farm
