Ingredients:

Free-range Chicken

We use Mary's Organic Chicken, raised in California. Packed with gelatin and protein, chicken bones add another layer of health benefits including; improving gut function, boosting immunity, and improving brain function. The protein, calcium, and collagen found in chicken are easily bioavailable to the body, and assimilate quickly giving you fast acting results. Chicken is high in folate, which is a building block of our cells and particularly important during development and pregnancy. WishBone Broth was originally created for women postpartum, so it is packed with all the things you and your baby need...but no baby needed to benefit from this goodness.

Grass-fed Beef

The bones we use come from Sun-Fed Organics farm. Their cattle get to see the sky and freely grase the earth on ranches that practice sustainable and traditional ranching efforts in Northern California. Because these happy cows are free to roam they produce meat that tastes better, is more nutrient dense, and higher in Omega 3's than your average cow. Our beef bones are a great source of "good fat" Omega 3's and 6’s as well as collagen I and II. which helps with inflammation as well as joint and skin health. We use femur bones which contain bone marrow, known to improve immunity of the body and contribute to cell repair and regeneration.

Carrots are packed with vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin C, biotin and potassium along with many other nutrients. They also have a natural sweetness we love.

Onions are nutrient dense, which means they are high in vitamins and minerals and low in calories. They are high in vitamin C, folic acid, calcium and iron.

Leeks have lots of antioxidants and may help regulate blood pressure.

Like the rest of the allium family (garlic, onions, leeks etc) these green beauties are packed with super amazing stuff. They also add a unique flavor profile beyond the “usual suspects” in other broth.

Garlic has been used for centuries for a range of ailments, including the common cold. It also wakes up your appetite when you smell it, preparing your body for the magical mug of broth you are about to enjoy.

Ginger

Ginger is used for anti-nausea and anti-inflammation. It can be especially handy for people experiencing morning-sickness during pregnancy. We cold-press our ginger and add it at the end to get all the potent zing we can.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar stimulates digestion, helping everything get movin’ the way it should. It also gives the broth a tang we can’t get enough of.

Olive Oil

We use organic virgin olive oil when we roast all the veggies. It is a good, clean monounsaturated fat that is high in antioxidants.

Miso

After the broth is removed from the heat we blend in red and mellow white miso. Miso is a probiotic and has a delicious, umami flavor we think adds the perfect finishing touch. Miso is mineral rich and contains various B vitamins, vitamins E, K and folic acid.

Wishbone Broth is made in small batches in Santa Barbara, CA with local, organic ingredients and a whole lotta love. Bone broth is an ancient tradition practiced by people around the world. It takes 48 hours to make this magical elixir. It is our mission to educate and inspire people to take their health into their own hands.

The Birth of our Broth

We started our quest for bone broth while cooking for mother’s and their families after they give birth. We quickly realized that in almost every nation, families were using bone broth to nurture the nurturer. We searched high and low through the health food stores yet couldn’t find a product that met our standards for taste and quality. We decided to take matters into our own hands and make our very own majestic brew. News traveled fast and before we knew it we had our clients, friends, and family begging for more. And so…Wishbone Broth was born.
