Founded by Isa Bourbon and Lena Philkill, Wishbone Wellbeing is the holistic love child of two women who live to eat and love to feed others. With their combined talents they create products using locally sourced, thoughtfully curated ingredients that make you feel as amazing as they taste.  With a background in therapeutic culinary arts, facilitating events and a mutual lifelong dedication to living a healthful life, Isa and Lena bring an abundance of expertise to the table. 

We started our quest for bone broth while cooking for mother’s and their families after they give birth.  We quickly realized that in almost every nation, families were using bone broth to nurture the nurturer. We searched high and low through the health food stores yet couldn’t find a product that met our standards for taste and quality. We decided to take matters into our own hands and make our very own majestic brew.  News traveled fast and before we knew it we had our clients, friends, and family begging for more. And so…Wishbone Broth was born.

Isa was born into a Santa Barbara family that inspired her love for food, community, and the arts from a very young age. She grew up cooking in the kitchen with her Papa, a true mad scientist. Isa is the ultimate community gatherer and good time rallier. Her magic in the kitchen puts a smile on both your face and your belly. It is this very joy that fuels her passion for love-filled culinary arts. She is the backbone of Wishbone. In her early adulthood she decided to enroll in Bauman College, a therapeutic culinary school; simultaneously, running a summer camp teaching kids how to cook and about nutrition. Once she had the knowledge and the tools Isa set out to New York City to see what she was made of. There she learned the meaning of hard work as a line cook. She moved on to be a private chef, where she had the freedom to be a creative mastermind in the kitchen. Isa has come back to Santa Barbara after 10 years away to give back to her hometown one meal at a time.
